Present perfect + since + time , date or event in the past

Examples :
- Most countries have developed industries since the Industrial Revolution .
- Oman has changed a lot since 1970.
- I have not seen my cousin since he got married.


Present perfect + for + a period of time

Example :
- We have lived here for 25 years .
- He has ill for three days.
- I haven't seen you for a long time .
